ICAR distinguishes a few categories of sensor systems. ICAR offers validation services for devices in these categories. Please indicate which category is most suitable for your system.

Applicants are requested to submit the following files: 1 - Clear description of all components of system - ID, components, software, etc.; 2 - System technical manual; 3 - Farm operator manual; 4 - Internal research and validation studies; 5 - Peer reviewed publications; 6 - Software manual for use of the system devices; 7 - Installation procedure; 8 - Routine test or periodic checking procedures for service technicians; 9 - Technical characteristics, drawings and 2D/3D pictures of the device. 1 – The Client cannot claim the adoption of devices or technological solutions, or copyrights, for which others have obtained the patent and/or that violate other patents, trademarks or copyrights, hereby expressly releasing ICAR from liability and assuming all expenses arising from any and all assertions, claims, actions, or initiatives. 2 – All of the test results, analyses and reports are the full and absolute property of the Client.
1 – The parties mutually agree, in accordance with and for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) that the data provided will be used exclusively for the pursuit of the objectives outlined in this contract, which are referenced in this document, and for the fulfilment of legal obligations, including those related to taxes and accounting. 2 – ICAR, in compliance with the provisions outlined in the GDPR and subsequent modifications and, as the Party responsible for the treatment of the data managed within the context of the performance of this contract, assumes the responsibility to maintain confidentiality with regard to the data and processed information that comes into its possession during the performance of their service, and agrees not to disclose it nor subject it to exploitation. 3 – All of the information, data, knowledge, technical experience and diagrams regarding the methods and technical know-how in testing as expressed in the test report belong exclusively to ICAR and are considered confidential. 4 – The acceptance of the above conditions is a prerequisite for the submission of the application.
By submitting this form, the applicant agrees to proceed with the payment of the non-refundable application fee of EUR 1,000 (for ICAR Associated Members the fee is EUR 500). The fee refers to the management of the application and is applied either when the application leads to a test or not. It is also applied in the case of a website update, which does not require a test but a desk review. The ICAR Secretariat will provide the invoice for the payment of the application fee.
Once the application has been evaluated, ICAR will provide the applicant with a quotation for the validation test. The applicant may choose to accept or decline this offer.
